DOCNA Nationals

Last weekend, September 24-26, 2010, I ran three of the dogs in DOCNA's National Championships in Grand Junction. Cozy was in Grand Veteran class, Jackson was in Intern class, and Tucker ran a couple of Intern classes.

I was very happy with the results. Cozy won 7 out of 8 runs. She got a little "tunnel happy" during her North American Challenge run, but she was having a good time (my main goal for all my agility runs, especially for the double-digit-aged dogs).

"Baby" Jackson did a great job. He had fun, held his start line stays, and got first place in every run. He won the NAC regional and national, and Intern 8" Jumpers. Quite impressive for a puppy who started running agility trials only 8 months ago! And hasn't been trialed much in any venue.

Tucker got stressed in his Gamblers run and tuned out, but in his Trigility run he held it together and completed his Jumpers round. We took second place.

If you have DOCNA trials near you, try it! DOCNA trials are usually small, relaxed, and user-friendly.
